A PLANNED burn at Buccan could mean smoky conditions for some Logan suburbs later this week.
The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct the burn on Thursday, after it was postponed today due to weather.
The operation at Buccan Conservation Park is part of the service's annual hazard reduction program for parks and forests.

Authorities warn that smoke may be seen in Buccan, Logan Village Yarrabilba, Bahrs Scrub and Wolffdene. Residents with respiratory problems should keep windows and doors closed, and medication close by.
"The aim of this burn is to reduce the volume of forest fuels and to create a mosaic pattern of burnt and unburnt areas," the Department of Environment and Science said.
"This will help reduce the intensity of any subsequent wildfires and provide favourable conditions for natural forest regeneration."
Authorities urge motorists to drive safely when visibility is poor due to smoke.
