SOME Aussie cricket legends swapped bats for clubs at the Kooralbyn Valley Golf Course this week.
Former captain Greg Chappell joined willow-wielding colleagues Ian Davis and Greg Ritchie on the course on Wednesday morning.
Chappell scored 24 Test hundreds, four of them coming at the Gabba.
Ex-fast bowler Jeff Thomson, who terrified batsmen regularly on his way to 200 Test wickets, also took to the links to play 18 holes.
Their visit came as Queensland Sports Minister Stirling Hinchcliffe announced a new round of FairPlay vouchers for families to help cover the cost of sport.
They wlll deliver up to $150 for club membership, team registration, or participation fees.
"Many families are recovering from the financial challenges of COVID-19, but we don't want the pandemic to be a barrier to young Queenslanders getting on the team or staying active," Mr Hinchliffe said.
