GUITAR virtuoso Chris Tamwoy is back in Logan next month for a six-stringed showcase concert in his home town.
Tamwoy will co-star in the Acoustic Guitar Spectacular at the Beenleigh Entertainment Centre on Thursday, July 8.
With his distinctive guitar-tap style and vibrant personality, Tamwoy is part of a hand picked trio who will perform in the spectacular to showcase the instrument.
His co-stars are internationally acclaimed Brisbane guitarist, Michael Fix, who is the event host, Sarah Koppen.
His latest achievement is collaborating with fellow Australian performer Christine Anu on his new album, Reality Is.

As well as performing across Australia, Tamwoy has also represented his hometown and country at overseas events including G'day LA and G'day USA.
His debut EP in 2015 helped him earn the National NAIDOC Youth of the Year Award.
In 2016, he was an Australia's Got Talent finalist.
Chris grew up on Badu Island in the Torres Strait before moving to the City of Logan to attend high school. The music on his new album is influenced by his early years.
"I've recently released my new album, Reality Is - it's very special to me because many of the songs were written here in Logan," Chris said.
"It also has Torres Strait Islander language on there too with the focus of preserving my language.
"One of my goals growing up was always to come back here and have my own show so it is great to come back and jam with Michael and Sarah.
"It's just a dream to come back."
City Lifestyle chair Laurie Koranski said Tamwoy was a local success story.
"Chris has so many accolades and it is wonderful for him to come back to the city of Logan and inspire other young artists," Cr Koranski said.
The show was initially scheduled for Logan Entertainment Centre, but has been moved because of that venue becoming a COVID-19 weekend vaccination hub.
You can still buy tickets through the Logan Entertainment Centre's website.
