CHARGED: A Cedar Vale man is due in Beaudesert Magistrates Court after a police raid at his property.

The man, in his 40s, was charged with unlawful motor vehicle use, and drugs and utensils possession.

He was also fined $3000 for not disposing rubbish correctly.

The man will face Beaudesert Magistrates Court on July 6.

It comes after the arrest of five people following illegal tobacco raids at properties across Logan and Brisbane.

Detectives raided 12 Waterford, Marsden, Logan Central, Heritage Park, Beenleigh, Springwood and Slacks Creek properties in Operation Romeo Serge.

Police say they found 4.5 tonnes of tobacco, $900,000 cash, 114,732 packets of cigarettes and 150,000 vapes containing nicotine.

They say offenders avoided more than $10 million in excise, and the seized tobacco had a street value of $24 million.

A 36-year-old Park Ridge South man will face charges of supplying tobacco in non-compliant packaging and possessing a regulated poison.

He will appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 19.
