POLICE have issued another plea for drivers to slow down at roadworks, after handing out a number of tickets last week north of Jimboomba.
A highway patrol officer stopped 10 drivers for speeding in the 60km/h zone on the Mount Lindesay Highway, near the Stoney Camp Road overpass, in three hours.
One driver was clocked at 91km/h, which got them a $622 fine and six demerit points. The speeding incidents happened between 10am and 1pm.
Sergeant Lawrie Catterson urged drivers to slow down at roadworks, for drivers' and workers' safety.
"Just because you are going through road works, it does not mean the speed limit is not enforceable."
