West Coast coach Adam Simpson is doing his best to keep a lid on it, but the Oscar Allen bandwagon is set to go into overdrive after the swingman's latest heroics.
Allen booted five goals and pulled down four contested grabs in his team's 27-point win over Collingwood on Friday night.
The 22-year-old has now booted 14 goals in five games this season despite also spending time in defence and as a back-up ruckman.
Allen is one of the AFL's brightest young stars, and the platform is set for a breakout season.
The presence of star forwards Jack Darling and Josh Kennedy means Allen has learned from the best and not had the pressure of being the No.1 spearhead.
Simpson has been thrilled with Allen's development, and he's doing his best to protect the 194cm marking machine from too much hype.
"We've got to keep a lid on it a little bit," Simpson said.
"He's going to have ups and downs, he's still pretty young. But while we've got some experience around he's having a good apprenticeship.
"I think what's happened is Kennedy and Darling have really complemented the development of Oscar Allen. It's been two or three years now and he's a very mature player.
"He loves putting pressure on, he loves doing the little things, and he's a leader in his own right."
Simpson is hopeful defender Tom Cole has avoided a concussion from a sickening head clash with teammate Tom Rotham.
Cole was left a bloodied mess after the hit, but he was able to walk off unassisted after spending more than a minute on the turf.
"Coley already had a monobrow before the game and now he's got a permanent one I think," Simpson joked.
"He's got a scar from eyebrow to eyebrow, and Roth is the same
"I don't think they've got concussion, they were smiling and giggling next to each other in the medico room."
The news isn't as good for All-Australian forward Liam Ryan, who might not return until after the mid-season bye due to a hot spot in his shin that was discovered on Tuesday.
"It just came up out of nowhere and unfortunately it'll be some time off legs, which means he can't do anything," Simpson said.
"I don't want to put a time frame on it, but it's not like he can heal quicker than anyone else."
