JIMBOOMBA RSL sub-branch veterans say they are disappointed to let down thousands of people who flock to Anzac Day services in the town, but they have been left with little choice but to cancel the event.
Traditional commemorations have again been called off in Jimboomba as sub-branch members say they have been left unable to organise the event in time.
The government announced in February that services across the state could resume after residents were encouraged last year to observe the day in their driveways.

But Jimboomba sub-branch president Lance Lorraway said it was too late for his veterans, who usually begin preparations in November.
The decision to cancel the April 25 event was disappointing, he said.
If people want to have a go, that's fine. But just remember you are having a go at the old veterans you are supposed to be commemorating

"It was not taken lightly, as you can probably imagine," Mr Lorraway said.
"But we don't have the capacity to meet the requirements."
Thousands typically turn out on the day at Jimboomba, for a dawn service at the World War I cenotaph on Honora Street, followed by a march to Rotary Park for the main service.
"We do feel disappointed we can't live up to the expectations of the community," Mr Lorraway said.
"We encourage people to individually lay a wreath and pay their respects, but we can't officially hold a public event."
The sub-branch consists of 15 veterans who organise commemorations. Mr Lorraway said no money from the day would hurt the bottom line.
"We are a traditional branch, and not linked to a bar or pokies," he said.
"The only income we get is from badge sales or sausage sizzles.
"Last year we had no income, and this year as well.
"We still pay rent and rates."
Some residents were left angry when the sub-branch announced the news on its Facebook page.
"If people want to have a go, that's fine," Mr Lorraway said.
"But just remember you are having a go at the old veterans you are supposed to be commemorating."
Greenbank organisers said their Anzac Day services would still go ahead.
"I do feel sorry for the veterans at Jimboomba," secretary Doug Watts said.
"They know we have got ours on. A few might want to join us."
Beaudesert's sub-branch will host a dawn service, but the traditional march will not go ahead in the town.
