A JIMBOOMBA care home fears its patients may have to start the COVID-19 vaccine process over again because of a delay in administering the second round of jabs.
Their fears come despite government guidelines saying the vaccinations should be administered 12 weeks apart.
Just two residents at Jimboomba Community Aged Care have received the first round of the AstraZeneca vaccination.
They were vaccinated at previous homes while preparing to move into the East Street when it officially opened on March 1.
An 88-year-old was vaccinated on March 1, and an 86-year-old received their first jab on March 10.
The home's 48 other residents are yet to receive the first round, and a facility spokeswoman said it was not yet known when they would be vaccinated.
This was despite repeated calls to authorities to get clarity on the issue, the spokeswoman said.
The home was initially told that the first vaccinations would take place on Saturday, March 10, but this was then cancelled, the spokeswoman said, at short notice.
I worry that they [the two] have to start the process again because they changed nursing homes.

Queensland Health said the AstraZeneca vaccine doses can be administered 4-12 weeks apart, and Australian Technical Advisory Group in Immunisation recommend doses should be 12 weeks apart.
The spokeswoman said if the delay continued, she feared the original two residents would have to start the process again.
"I am worried about my residents and am concerned about this," she said.
"I worry that they [the two] have to start the process again because they changed nursing homes.
"I'm fighting for the residents myself, but I'm not getting any answers."
At Beaudesert, supply has largely met demand, according to most local health experts.
At Whiddon Beaudesert Star, a spokeswoman said the COVID-19 vaccination program started on April 1.
"Residents received the first dose of the vaccination, with the second dose scheduled for Saturday, April 24," she said.
It comes as Prime Minister Scott Morrison abandoned the vaccine October rollout plans.
The health department failed to respond to the Jimboomba Times' request for comment by press time.
