THE search is on for the most outstanding volunteers in Logan.
Logan Loves Volunteers is held annually to thank local volunteers and volunteer organisations for the time, care and passion they provide to our community.
The event was scaled back last year in line with COVID-19 restrictions, with about 300 people taking part online.
A Logan Loves Volunteers breakfast will be held at the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre on Saturday, May 15.
Logan Mayor Darren Power said there was a good reason this event was called Logan Loves Volunteers.
"It is a meaningful way to honour, and thank, those who continue to put our community's needs before their own," Cr Power said.
"It has been a challenging but rewarding 12 months and our volunteers have been standing by those in the community who have most needed it.
"The awards give us a chance to recognise their selfless acts and the dedication our volunteers show to others."
Nominations for the awards are now open, and can be made at logan.qld.gov.au/awards/volunteers
Nominations close on April 12.
