POLICE are investigating a serious assault incident where a shotgun may have been used in Logan yesterday evening.
According to officers, a group were involved in a physical altercation resulting in a 17-year-old boy receiving wounds to the back of his head. This allegedly took place between 6pm and 7pm at Logan Reserve.
The teen sustained non-life-threatening injuries and treated at Logan Hospital.
Police are investigating whether the boy may have been struck by fragments from a shotgun, fired from a passing vehicle.
Two 18-year-old men the boy was with at the time, did not require medical treatment.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time is urged to contact police.
