POLICE have charged two people with multiple offences after seizing a number of homemade firearms from a home in Marsden yesterday.
According to police, officers came across the cache about 1pm while conducting investigations into an armed robbery.
Police conducted a search where they allegedly seized three homemade firearms, two electric anti-personnel devices, multiple rounds of ammunition, a firearm frame, knuckle dusters, a quantity of drugs including MDMA, drug utensils, a motorbike and other items.
A 45-year-old Marsden man was charged with seven counts of unlawful possession of weapon, three counts of acquiring restricted items, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and one count each of possess tainted property, possess property suspected of being acquired for a drug offence, authority required to possess explosives and manufacture weapon whilst not licensed.
He appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
A 42-year-old Marsden woman was issued a notice to appear (date to be set), charged with four counts of supply dangerous drugs.
