A TOTAL of 38mm feel between Tuesday and Thursday at Beaudesert when storms lashed much of the south-east.
The Weather Bureau recorded 23mm between Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the most rain that has hit the region in a single day this month.
There were also decent falls of 15mm in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning at 9am after a bout of thunderstorms the previous evening.
Similar totals were recorded at Logan, with 39mm falling across the city inside two days.
More thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday afternoon, with up to 15mm possible for Logan and Beaudesert.
The Weather Bureau rates both regions an 80 to 90 per cent chance of rain.
Temperatures are also expected to creep into the early 30s over the coming days.

Hail hit Flagstone and Jimboomba this afternoon as school pick-up was thrown into chaos and visibility was reduced to a few metres on the busy Mount Lindesay Highway.
A tree fell onto powerlines at Abell Road in Flagstone as the storm swept over. Residents reported a brief hail storm at 2.50pm before larger hail fell about 2.55pm.
Hail the size of 50 cent pieces battered parents' cars right on school pick-up time at Flagstone State School.
Teachers kept the children indoors until the storm passed.
"It was good the teachers kept them in," one parent, whose children are in Year 2, prep and childcare, said.
"We were pretty protected in around the school buildings but there was a lot of lightning around, so anything could have happened."
Traffic was reduced to a crawl on the Mount Lindesay Highway as visibility fell rapidly when the storm came.
Some drivers pulled over onto a service road to wait out the storm.

The Weather Bureau is warning that severe thunderstorms are forecast to affect the area between Boonah, Beaudesert and Jimboomba by 2.40 pm.
Damaging winds, large, possibly giant hailstones and intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding are likely.

LOGAN has been added to the list of areas in the predicted firing line of severe thunderstorms.

Storms are moving towards the east and are expected to hit Maroochydore, Logan City, Strathpine, Redcliffe, Caboolture and Caloundra by 2.50 pm.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Scenic Rim for the second day in a row.
Thunderstorms were detected on the radar south of Toowoomba about 1.20pm and are heading in an east to south-easterly direction.
Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are likely, according to the Weather Bureau.
Boonah and Rathdowney are both listed in the warning area.

RIGHT on cue, thunderstorms are rapidly developing across south-east Queensland.
It comes after the Weather Bureau warned that people should brace for a carbon copy of yesterday's wild weather, which saw 48mm fall in an hour at Kalbar.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for a number of locations, including the south-east coast forecast district.
According to the Weather Bureau, severe storms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
As was the case yesterday, emergency services are advising people to move their car undercover or away from trees, secure loose outdoor items, seek shelter and avoid using the telephone during a storm.
