More than 100 Supercar fans joined revellers cooling off at Flagstone's Water Play Park on Sunday to watch former Hills College boy Chaz Mostert finish on the podium at the Bathurst 1000.
The Bathurst 1000 concluded this year's Supercars season, so the Flagstone Adventure Playground was transformed into an outdoor entertainment space and the great race was broadcast on a big LED screen.
Local residents enjoyed a range of family friendly activities including a slot car track and cardboard car making for the kids as well as food from local suppliers.
Peet Limited organised the COVID-19 friendly event.
Peet Limited chief executive and managing director Brendan Gore said the facility was a drawcard for the community, making it the perfect spot to host a viewing of the Bathurst 1000.
"After a challenging year for many in the community, it was fantastic to see Flagstone residents together once again enjoying all the excitement of the Supercars Championship flagship event," he said.
"Slowly but surely, in line with public health advice, we're looking forward to giving residents more opportunities to come together once again and embrace the thriving lifestyle on offer at Flagstone."
Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tandy won a close race, with two safety car deployments in the final few laps bunching the field.
They beat Cameron Waters and Will Davison, with Mostert and co-driver Warren Luff rounding out the podium.
