Kylian Mbappe has scored twice for Paris Saint-Germain in a 4-0 win at 10-man Nimes that has moved the capital club to the top of the French league for the first time this season.
After Nimes defender Loick Landre was sent off after 12 minutes for a chest-high high tackle on debut-making PSG midfielder Rafinha there was only ever likely to be one winner. And so it proved.
Twenty minutes later the speedy Mbappe made a perfectly timed run behind the defence and beat goalkeeper Baptiste Reynet to make it 1-0, before scoring again late in the game as PSG added three goals in the final 13 minutes to run out comfortable winners.
Paris' fifth straight win took them above Rennes on goal difference with both sides on 15 points, after a below-strength Rennes drew at last-place Dijon 1-1 earlier on Friday.
The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Martin Terrier turned in Hamari Traore's left-wing cross.
Dijon equalised in the 54th when striker Mama Samba Balde beat two defenders and finished powerfully.
