Police called the dog squad in to track down a suspected car thief at Jimboomba last week.
Dogs helped apprehend a 17-year-old boy on Ingham Street on September 20.
He was suspected of being involved in stealing a car which led police on two separate chases over three days.
A woman on Manning Street heard her car being stolen from the driveway about 10.30pm on September 17.
Thieves had broken into her house and taken the keys before stealing the car, police said.
Officers spotted the car on Spring Street at 3am the next day, and chased it under lights and sirens, before stopping the pursuit due to safety concerns.
It was chased a second time after being seen on Russell Street at Crestmead, travelling north. Officers say they saw four teens in the car.
The boy was arrested at 3am on September 20 after police saw the car a third time. They said they found him at a nearby house after the car had been abandoned.
Police also arrested a 17-year-old Boronia Heights boy, an 18-year-old Crestmead woman and a 16-year-old boy from Forest Lake.
Driver blew .116 after accident, police say
A Flagstone man is facing drink driving charges after an accident in the suburb last weekend.
Police say the man blew .116 at Jimboomba Police Station after he was arrested on September 19.
His grey Toyota Landcruiser struck a Suzuki Swift at the corner of Wildmint Drive and Timberline Way about 7pm.
The man is due to face Beaudesert Magistrates Court on September 29.
Jimboomba officer in charge, Peter Waugh slammed the driver's actions.
"It just shows the dangers of drink driving," he said.
"It's very disappointing to see that with all the road safety messages out there, people are continuing to disobey and continuing to put theirs and others' lives at risk."
