A truck has lost its load of offal on the Mount Lindesay Highway, closing one south-bound lane at Jimboomba.
The clean-up operation is underway after the incident earlier this afternoon.
Police are on scene as fire crews hose down the mess of entrails over a 100 metre section of the highway, near the BP service station.
The incident happened about 1.10pm.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one crew was sent to the scene.
They have been there since 1.30pm.
A Queensland Police spokesman said officers had blocked one lane to allow firefighters to work.
He said one south-bound lane was open.
