Dairy farmer and Jimboomba Bushrangers president Rodney Teese thinks so, after a find on his Veresdale Scrub property.
Mr Teese spotted the bird with the nametag Wendy Junior Junior Junior Junior, and said his first thought was of the former Australian Test captain and legendary broadcaster.
Lawry, who scored 13 hundreds for Australia, races pigeons more than 800 kilometres in some events.
Wendy is the name of Lawry's most famous bird, as fans of the 12th Man series can attest. The commentary comedy series of records by Billy Birmingham often mentions her.
Mr Teese said he laughed when he saw the bird's name, and that he was a big fan of the 12th Man.
"Isn't everyone?" he said.
"It appealed to my sense of humour.
"I was waiting for Bill to turn up and collect his pigeon."
It comes after Channel Nine honoured Lawry's life and career in a special documentary last week, which was popular with fans.
