EMERGENCY services rushed to a Rosevale property yesterday afternoon after reports of a child hit by a car.
Critical care paramedics, a rescue chopper, firefighters and police were at the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance report said one patient was treated at the scene for critical injuries.
A spokesman for Queensland Police said the accident happened just before 5pm in the driveway of a private property.
A reversing car struck a 14-month-old girl and despite emergency intervention the child died as a result of her injuries.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said two crews of firefighters were in attendance from about 5.20pm and left the address at 6.15pm.
The police spokesman said Forensic Crash Unit investigations would continue and a report prepared for the coroner.
