BEAUDESERT police have claimed a significant victory after another successful operation early Monday morning at several addresses in town.
Senior Sergeant Ken Murray said police had made several arrests and laid drug-related charges against people as a result of the ongoing Operation Messiah around the Beaudesert precinct.
He said 14 people would face 111 charges after officers and drug detection dogs conducted a search of seven addresses.
"We are actively targeting drug possession and supply," he said. "We will continue to do so because we want Beaudesert to be a safe and drug-free place to live," Senior Sergeant Murray said.
This follows several other recent arrests, including a police operation across the district on June 17 that resulted in almost 100 charges, some of them in Beaudesert and Kooralbyn.
Last week acting officer in charge Senior Sergeant Steve Ordynski said many of the recent drug arrests in Beaudesert were the result of good information and encouraged Beaudesert residents to keep up the good work.
"Please contact police or Crime Stoppers if you have any information that could help us," he said.
Meanwhile Boonah police say a disturbance at a Dugandan address on June 28 led to the discovery of a hydroponic drug set up.
Police said they found 13 seedlings in the growing area which was in a bedroom and a grow tent, lights, power supplies and fertiliser were seized from the house.
A 49-year-old man and 37-year-old woman will face Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 4 charged with drug possession and possession of drug items.
