POLICE have charged a woman with drug and property offences after a traffic stop turned up drugs and cash last week.
Senior Sergeant Steve Ordynski said officers stopped a 30-year-old Beaudesert woman on Beaudesert Nerang Road on June 24, where they found heroin and $38,000 cash in the vehicle.
He said the woman was arrested on the spot and charged with drugs and property offences.
"She was remanded to Beenleigh watch house and will appear in Beenleigh Court on August 5," he said.
This follows several other drug arrests, including a police operation across the policing district on June 17 that resulted in almost 100 charges against seven people, some of them in Beaudesert and Kooralbyn.
Senior Sergeant Ordynski said many of the recent drug arrests in Beaudesert were the result of good information and encouraged Beaudesert residents to keep up the good work.
"We will happily accept any information," he said.
"It is making a really big difference."
