The Beenleigh Show, set down for September, has been cancelled.
The Beenleigh Show Society decided to cancel the 143rd show because of the COVID-19 restrictions and their impact on large crowds.
The show was popular with Logan and Scenic Rim exhibitors.
"We certainly got a few from Logan way who entered in the produce and home crafts events," Show Society president Darryl Plummer said.
The animal exhibits were also popular with Logan entrants.
Mr Plummer said it was a difficult but necessary decision to make as the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic's restrictions continued.
"The current restrictions associated with the pandemic have been monitored over several weeks, and with the current information provided by the government and health authorities and the still unknown future for large gatherings it was felt that this was the time to make the sad decision," he said.
"There is a lead time for arrangements to organise and successfully stage such an event and even though some of this was already in place, there comes a time that a final decision had to be made.
"There is still uncertainty in what, if any, events could be safely staged and what restrictions may still apply."
Mr Plummer said the health and safety of the show's volunteers was paramount when making the decision to cancel the 2020 event.
The 2021 show is set down for Saturday, September 18.
