A group of painters, music artists and a movie maker will share in grant money from the Regional Arts Development Fund in a partnership between Logan City Council and the state government.
A debut album, landscape paintings, a video film documentary and a series of digital stories will be funded through the grants of more than $50,000.
Young singer-songwriter Briana Dinsdale use her share of the fund to make her debut country album at - The young singer-songwriter will produce her debut modern country album.
She will record it with a backing band at Wheatley Street Productions, Heritage Park.
Indigenous artist Cara Shields will develop works for the Life in the Middle exhibition at the Logan Art Gallery, learning printmaking and experimenting with new ideas.
Another group of artists will use the grant money to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to capture their stories of migration and settlement in Logan.
Visual artist Chrys Zantis will use her share of the funds to make a film documentary, Beneath and Beyond, to showcase her collaboration with neuroscientist Associate Professor Marta Garrido.
Logan City Council City Lifestyle Committee chair, Laurie Koranski, said the grants supported professional and emerging professional artists in Logan.
"Through these grants and our partnership with the state government we are nurturing local talent and helping it to further grow and develop," Cr Koranski said.
"I look forward to seeing these interesting projects come to fruition and the artists developing their various skills."
Arts Minister Leeanne Enoch said the government was proud to continue its RADF partnership with local governments with an investment of $2.08 million, through Arts Queensland, for the 2019/20 fund.
"This investment will support the delivery of hundreds of arts experiences and professional development opportunities across the state," Ms Enoch said.
"Projects funded through RADF provide pathways for learning, contribute to the creation of jobs, foster creativity and boost cultural tourism."
There are two funding rounds for the RADF program each year.
The RADF grants in 2019/20 are supported by $50,979 from Logan City Council and $33,000 from Arts Queensland.
The direct grants are made to professional arts practitioners and arts, culture and heritage organisations.
