Yarrabilba commuters will get a cheaper fare into the city from June 29 when a new bus service comes to the area.
The new Translink service, the 587, will make its first journey on June 29, with Logan Coaches.
A peak fare to the city, via bus and train, will fall from $11.78 to $6.28 on the new service, which will take passengers to Loganlea station.

The buses will operate from 5.05am-7.45pm on weekdays, and 9am-4.35pm on Saturdays.
There will be 12 each-way trips per day from Monday to Friday, and four per day on Saturdays.
Mr Power urged commuters to take advantage of the route's integration into the Translink network by getting a Go Card.
"I'm committed to improving public transport in Logan so I encourage everyone to get a Go Card and use the service," he said.
"That way we can continue to improve and expand the new Translink bus service."
The government promised the service last year, after revealing a TransLink bus service route would connect Flagstone with Browns Plains Grand Plaza from November 2019.
It was part of the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which would be home to 120,000 people by 2066.
The government also signed a $1.2 billion deal to secure the infrastructure needs of Flagstone and Yarrabilba over the next 45 years.
The government, Logan City Council and nine developers came together in making the deal.
It promised funding upgrades for Chambers Flat Road, Teviot Road, New Beith Road, Johnson Road, Logan Reserve Road, Stockleigh Road, Edelsten Road, Crowson Lane and Cusack Lane.
But with no Mount Lindesay Highway funding announced, Scenic Rim MP Jon Krause said it was a missed opportunity to secure infrastructure funding from developers.
