Police investigating a chemist raid at Yarrabilba this week, and possible links to similar incidents on the Gold Coast, found an abandoned car they believe was used in all three raids.
Officers found the black Mazda 3 yesterday morning on Mudgee Road at Kingston, near Kingston Park Raceway.
In all three raids, offenders smashed their way into premises before stealing prescription medicines.
Mr Hemopo was making a delivery to the nearby Coles when the incident happened.
Stolen car set alight
Thieves stole a car from Kingston before setting it alight at Buccan this week.

Authorities found the grey Mazda 3 on fire on Buccan Road, after it was stolen overnight on Sunday.
Thieves broke into the back of the Wilde Street address before stealing the keys and driving the car away.
Drugs charges
A 31-year-old Beaudesert woman is facing drugs charges after a police raid on a Monza Street property this morning.
She is charged with four counts of supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and obtaining money from the sale of drugs.
The woman was also charged with possessing property suspected of being used in the commission of crime and possession of drug utensils.
She will appear in Beaudesert Magistrates Court on June 16.
A 45-year-old Kooralbyn woman is charged with drugs offences after police raided a Boomerang Drive property.
She is charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drugs utensils.
A 19-year-old Wonglepong man is due in court in August after he was caught driving under the influence of drugs.
The man, a provisional driver, was stopped on the Mount Lindesay Highway at North Maclean on May 15.
