A Yarrabilba chemist was raided in the early hours of this morning, and police are investigating links to similar break-ins on the Gold Coast.
Offenders smashed their way into the chemist on Yarrabilba Drive, using a large rock or piece of concrete, according to police.
Two males entered the premises about 2.40am, stole items and left through the smashed window.
Police said it was unclear what the thieves had taken.
Mr Hemopo was making an early-morning delivery to the Coles next door, when a woman came running form the chemist, alerting him to the burglary.
Three of the four offenders escaped, but Mr Hemopo stopped the fourth.
Thieves used a similar entry method at chemists at Oxenford and Ormeau later in the morning, before stealing drugs.
Police are investigating possible links between the three incidents.
