PolAir was called in to help officers on the ground during a police chase at Crestmead yesterday.

Police used road spikes to stop a black Mazda 3 hatchback after spotting its stolen registration plates in the chase which began about 2.40pm.

Polair tracked the car on Muchow Road, Chambers Flat Road and Browns Plains Road before stopping it on Trulson Drive, police said.

A number of passengers fled the vehicle, but police arrested the driver, who was helping officers with their inquiries.

Meanwhile, a black Mercedes Benz and a silver Yamaha moped are among vehicles police are searching for after they were stolen from Logan last week.

The Mercedes, with registration plates R3PA5, was taken from Logan Central.

Police are also on the lookout for a silver Yamaha moped, with registration 090TU, which was stolen from Springwood.
