A woman was seriously assaulted in a violent home invasion at Greenbank on Friday.
The woman required surgery for her injuries after the invasion on Thompson Road about 6.15am.
Two men who police say were armed with a knife and a tomahawk smashed a glass sliding door to enter the house.
They fled with cash, computers and other items when the other occupants of the house - a 56-year-old man, 38-year-old woman and two 17-year-old boys - woke up and disturbed them.
The house's other occupant, a 36-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with cuts to her head and legs, which required stitches, a broken tailbone and extensive bruising.
Police are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour to contact them.
The first man was tall with a slim build, and the second was short and stocky.
