QUOTA International Jimboomba Club usually celebrated Mothers' Day with the community by creating little posies of flowers for the local mothers... however this year it would be much quieter.
Chairperson of services to the community Romy Farrer said previously the members would put together gift bags for residents in nursing homes in the Scenic Rim area.
The team usually hand out flowers to mother's outside Woolworths and Coles. This was regarded as one of the highlights on the club's calendar.
Ms Farrer said unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Quota members were unable to approach people at the shops, nor visit homes for the elderly, but they still had a message for mothers.
Instead, president of the club Lynne Hais and the members gave a big shout out to all the mums in the community and wished them a Happy Mother's day.
