CAR theft has escalated in the past weeks and Logan police are calling on the public to help locate several stolen vehicles.
According to the National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council stolen keys result in 70 per cent of late model car thefts.
Police said while the majority of these crimes have been opportunistic and a result of 'sneak offences', they can be prevented in the future.
Logan police are seeking public assistance to help locate several vehicles that have been stolen across the district in past days.

Acting Sergeant Luke Turner said police are calling on all car owners and drivers to lock their vehicles at all times and to secure their keys.
"Ensure that you are securing all entry points to your house, even when you are home," he said.
He urged people to use social media and technology to open the lines of communication around crime prevention and talk about what they can do to secure their vehicles and homes.
