A Jimboomba child care centre has closed its doors temporarily, and staff and children are in quarantine, after a confirmed COVID-19 case.
A child with the illness was at Jimboomba Education and Childcare Centre for four days in early April, while unknowingly contagious.
The child was at the centre on Cusack Lane on April 1-2, and again on April 8-9.
The centre is closed for a fortnight for a deep clean, and to take quarantine measures.
Staff who may have been in contact with the child are in quarantine. Other staff are monitoring their symptoms.
Operations manager Samantha Ahearn 20-30 children were at the centre each day, and numbers were down because of the threat of the virus.
"A lot of people had decided not to come in because of the pandemic," Mrs Ahearn said.
Metro South Health, which is responsible for Beaudesert, Logan and Redlands Hospitals. issued a letter to parents at the centre.
The letter said Metro South Health was working closely with the centre to identify the children and staff who were potentially exposed.
Mrs Ahearn praised authorities for their actions in tackling the outbreak.
"Queensland Health have been really good," she said.
"It's not what you want, but it's no one's fault. The coronavirus is out there."
She said the centre aimed to be open again on April 27.
As of Monday, Metro South had 101 active coronavirus cases and 135 people had recovered from the illness.

There has been a confirmed coronavirus case in Jimboomba.
Someone with the illness visited a local childcare centre in April.
A letter from Metro South Health to parents at the centre said the person with the illness visited on April 1-2 and again on April 8-9, while unknowingly contagious.
The letter said Metro South Health was working closely with the centre to identify the children and staff potentially exposed.
As of yesterday, Metro South had 101 active coronavirus cases and 135 people had recovered from the illness.
The Metro South area takes in Logan, Beaudesert and Redlands hospitals.
There were seven new cases in Queensland yesterday, bringing the state total to 987.
