Police fine 18 at Loganholme for COVID-19 infringements

Police issued a further 18 COVID-19 infringement notices overnight after intercepting a number of vehicles allegedly conducting burnouts at an industrial area in Loganholme.

Officers were called to Josephine Street about 10.50pm following reports of a noisy gathering of vehicles in a vacant carpark.

The road was cordoned off and police took up with at least ten cars that had been performing burnouts.

Police issued 18 infringement notices of $1334 for failing to comply with a COVID-19 direction issued by the Chief Health Officer.

Queenslanders are reminded that blatant disregard for the CHO directives will not be tolerated, and police will continue to ensure compliance over the Easter long weekend - particularly around self-isolation, mass gatherings, borders, non-essential business activity and private residence gatherings.
