Logan City Council has begun repair work on Bahrs Scrub Road, after heavy rain damaged it earlier this year.
The work, which will take four weeks, will ensure it is capable of withstanding future deluges, council said.
It will take about a month, weather permitting.

"Council is delivering a road network that connects the city now and into the future," Road and Water Infrastructure director Daryl Ross said.
"This section of road will be reconstructed in concrete to make the road more resilient to extreme weather events.
"Due to the nature of the work, this section of the road will be closed and existing traffic diversions will operate.
"This is regrettable but necessary to ensure the safety of workers and to protect the concrete until it is strong enough for traffic to use."
Council thanked the community for its patience as post-flood repairs began, and urged motorists to obey signs and follow traffic controllers' directions.
