A Jimboomba man will appear in court today after a police chase which was ended by road spikes last night.
The 24-year-old allegedly evaded police, running red lights and driving at dangerous speeds, before trying to escape on foot after his tyres were spiked.
PolAir tracked the man from Chambers Flat to Park Ridge, via Jimboomba. Police used road spikes on Cusack Lane, Jimboomba, and Middle Road to stop the man.
Police found a knife, loaded gun, ammunition and drug utensils in the stolen car the man was driving.
The man will face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, charged with 13 offences.
He is charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, attempted unlawful entry of a vehicle, authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police and offences involving registration certificates.
He is also charged with possession of a knife in a public place, entering a premise and committing an indictable offence, unlawful entry of vehicle for committing indictable offence, unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and wilful damage.
