A Chambers Flat girl is conducting a fundraiser for a cause close to her heart.
Caitlin Arnold is raising money, and donating her hair, to children's charity Variety.
The nine-year-old is conducting the fundraiser in memory of sister Sophie, who she never met.
The day she will have her hair cut - April 15 - would have been Sophie's 21st birthday.
Sophie died aged three. Caitlin has had her sister and thousands of other sick kids in mind throughout the fundraiser.
It will be just the second time in her life she has had her hair cut.
"I'm a little bit excited and nervous about cutting it," she said.
Caitlyn wants to cut at least 40 centimetres off to donate to the cause. It will be used to make wigs.
The wigs cost about $6000, so Caitlyn wants to raise half that, and donate hair to complete the fundraiser.
She will have it cut at Pernickety Ladies and Gents Salon.
