Workplace Health and Safety are investigating a fatal accident at Tamborine yesterday afternoon.
Paramedics, including a critical care paramedic and high acuity response team, were called to a private property off Verbena Road at 1.48pm.
A truck reportedly fell from a jack and struck a patient.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics treated a patient with critical injuries at the scene.
A Workplace Health and Safety spokesman said an investigation had begun, and they would work with Queensland Police to prepare a report for the Coroner.
