DANGEROUS weather conditions are affecting the morning commute as overnight rain has caused flooding over roads.
Scenic Rim regional Council's Disaster Dashboard advises Beaudesert Nerang Road at Tabragalba, Beaudesert Boonah Road at Coulson and Boonah Rathdowney Road / Mt Alford Road at Dugandan are all flooded.
Reports of water over the Mount Lindesay Highway have also seen some motorists turn back rather than risk the drive to work.
The Bureau of Meteorology said most of the heavy rainfall was to the east of Beaudesert, with North Tamborine copping 102 millimetres overnight, with 90mm falling atTamborine Mountain and 75mm at Canungra.
Meteorologist Shane Kennedy said the rain has set in for the day.
"We are looking at unsettled conditions for the rest of today with showers, storms and potential heavy rainfall later today," he said.
"These are expected to ease overnight but there is still a reasonable chance of more showers tomorrow."
