Almost 350 Browns Plains children danced the night away at the first Blue Light Disco for 2020 on Friday.
About 60 police officers, recruits and civilians volunteered at the disco, supervising the kids and ensuring their safety at the Logan West Community Centre, Hillcrest.
The Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco Association has been in operation for 30 years and disco attendance ranges monthly from 350-450 children.
Funds raised by the association go towards assisting local children achieving their sporting or academic goals.
The Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco Association also conducts an annual camp every year.
The camp, free for 36 local children, is held at Bornhoffen PCYC and is facilitated by experienced outdoor education officers.
The next disco is on March 6 at the community centre from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
