The best catches in the past few days have come from the entrance to creeks and marinas flowing into the Broadwater's western foreshores and the main channels of Jumpinpin from the mouth of the Logan River through Jacobs Well straight, southern channel around Russell Island and Slipping Sands.

There's been quite a few just legal mulloway caught this week, the top bait has been a few prawns threaded up the line and drifted through deeper holes, channel junctions and inside bar entrances. Lure anglers have had good success using white lures hopped over the bottom slowly.

Offshore has been dominated by pelagic reports including both spotty and Spanish mackerel, and wahoo. Those live baiting had landed cobia, amberjack and kingfish and there's still plenty of dolphinfish around any structure in the water including the new FADs and all Wave Rider buoys.
