Puppies and Logan humans have benefited from the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
The Australian National K9 Rescue, Yarrabilba Community Association, Quota International of Jimboomba and the Logan Village Riding Club have received funding from the pot.
Australian National K9 Rescue's Helen Mackie was excited the organisation's application was successful.
"This funding means the dog food that is donated can be safely stored in an insulated shipping container together with other items necessary to run the program,: she said.
"Pups like Chopper and Nunu are being re-homed after their owners can no longer care for them and having food ready for carers or 'furrever' homes makes the settling in process much easier and more affordable."
The $34,300 the Yarrabilba Community Association received would buy a new mower and equipment to keep the Shaw St ovals operational for local teams.
"At present we have touch footy, rugby and the Jimboomba Soccer Club training and playing on the ovals, so keeping the grounds in good nick is important," spokesman Clinton Neumann said.
Logan Village Riding Club president Karen Webb said the funding was perfectly timed.
"This funding has come in at just the right time with our old trailers starting to become unserviceable," she said.
"Our riders use the jump poles for training and competitions and getting them around requires a special sized trailer."
Logan MP Linus Power said the community groups needed the funds.
"The allocation of funds to the local community is important to their ongoing growth and ability to provide services," he said.
"Whether it's local sporting teams, art groups, men's sheds or pups like Chopper and Noonoo, the funding seems to find the right homes.
