South-east Queensland has sweltered through a sticky night, as humidity soared into the high 90s across Logan, Redlands and the Scenic Rim.
The relative humidity at Beaudesert did not get below 90 per cent between 11pm Monday and 7am today.
It reached its peak between from 4am and 4.30am, hitting 99 per cent, before dropping to 66 per cent at 9am.
The highest the humidity got at Greenbank was 95 per cent at 2am. By 9am it was down to 58 per cent.
It was not as high in the Redlands. Alexandra Hills recorded its highest humidity of 93 per cent at 11.30pm. It had dropped to 72 per cent at 9am.
The bureau says there is a 60 per cent chance of showers across the region this afternoon, and there is also the chance of a storm.
Maximum temperatures in the 30s are predicted.
