JIMBY Crickets prevailed in a tight contest against Duck Duck Gone in the Last Man Standing Twenty20 cricket series at Glenlogan Park on Sunday.
Batting first, Jimby Crickets performed well to achieve a middle of the road total of 5-154 from 20 overs.
Skipper Phil Walsh led the way with a quickfire 50 runs from 30 balls while Duck Duck Gone bowler Jason Dennis took two wickets and conceded 29 runs.
In reply, Duck Duck Gone came painfully close to victory with 4-147.
Luke Harding scored 53 runs for Duck Duck Gone while Jimby Crickets bowler Aaran Randall made a difference with figures of 2-16.
In game two, the Beauy Bucheurs savaged No Limits and chased down their modest 120 run target in 11 overs.
Opening batsman Steven Muggeridge scored 51 runs from 21 balls while Tyson Breed also achieved a half century from 29 balls.
The Bucheurs have built up a healthy lead in the standings while Jimby Crickets moved up to second on the ladder.
Next week will be the final LMS Twenty20 games played before the Christmas break.
