ALMOST 500 athletes from 30 south-east Queensland clubs contested the Jimboomba Little Athletics annual Track and Field Carnival on November 24.
Jimboomba athletes won more than 250 medals and were up against a strong field of competition with many records broken.
Competitors ranging from five-years-old to opens level took part in sprint, distance and hurdles races.
Their skills were also put to the test in shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, triple jump and high jump events.
Special tiny tots races included two cross country events and a 4x100 metre relay race.
Centre manager Monic Hamilton said the 7th annual Track and Field Carnival was one of the highlights on the club's calendar.
"It provides the opportunity for Jimboomba athletcs to compete on home soil against some of the best athletes in the state," Ms Hamilton said.
"It also lets us showcase the wonderful facilities we have here at Jimboomba."
Jimboomba Little Athletics is located at Henderson Road, opposite Glenlogan Park.
