A LOGAN tow-truck driver and Jimboomba resident have teamed up to provide crucial support to people affected by bushfires.
Two years ago, Mr Skid Towing owner Nudge Peacock and Scott Bannan came together to transport valuable possessions for people devastated by the 2017 floods.
Due to the extent of dangerous bushfires which have affected the Scenic Rim and parts of Logan, the duo want people to know they are prepared to transport and store any valuables in the line of fire.
Mr Peacock said his truck had the capacity to transport 4.5 tonnes worth of valuables in one trip.
"If anyone is at risk of losing anything and need their stuff moved to safety, we are prepared to take it away and store it for free until everything subsides and returns to normal," he said.
"As long as you are genuinely affected by the fire I won't mind helping out.
"In between that, we are taking food, blankets, pillows out to Boonah to keep the firies fed and watered."
Mr Bannan, who is running for division nine in next year's Logan City Council election, said he was on hand to help load the truck while Mr Peacock was providing his truck free of charge.
They will be able to help move cars, shipping containers, tractors and other valuables.
Mr Skid Towing has capacity to store up to 20 cars if required.
Mr Peacock said it was a no-brainer for him to lend a hand as he had the means to make a difference.
"We have got to give back, I have spoken to a lot of people this past week who are not in a position to help," he said.
"I am in in that position to help so I will get people's stuff to safety and deliver resources to people fighting fires on the front line.
"It is the same deal as the floods, a little bit of help from us could change someone's life.
'We realised when we helped out during the floods how it affects people."
The latest update from Queensland Fire And Emergency Services reveals that six fires are still burning in the Scenic Rim, but none are currently listed as an emergency.
If you believe your property is at risk from fire call triple zero.
