New Freycient Peninsula walk
Visitors to Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula have the chance to experience the national park at its finest with a new five-and-a-half-hour guided walk from Freycinet Lodge.
The Freycinet Walking Tour, for a maximum of eight guests, takes in the Wineglass Bay viewing platform, Hazards beach, a gourmet picnic lunch and trip back to the lodge by the Freycinet Aqua Taxi.
The walk is offered by Experiential Tasmania, and provides a qualified and experienced walking guide, day packs, rain jackets, a water bottle, thermos, lunch, morning tea, sunscreen and water.
Guests need a reasonable level of fitness and must be comfortable walking between eight and nine kilometres carrying a light weight day pack along beaches, rocky headlands and steps.

Novotel Sunshine Coast resort revamped
Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, formally known as the Novotel Twin Waters Resort, unveiled its new name after a $2 million refurbishment.
Accor's Vice President Operations QLD/NT, Matt Young, explained that the recent lobby transformation, completed in late October, was one of the catalysts for the resort's new name.
"Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort better reflects the property's evolution, and aligns the resort with the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre, which opened earlier this year," said Mr Young. The renovation transformed two spaces - the hotel lobby, plus a new look bar and alfresco deck overlooking the resort's outdoor pool and famous lagoon.
Since opening in 1990, the resort has been well known for its grand entrance with high atrium ceilings and the transformation has paid homage to the history of the building while introducing its fresh new look in 2019. The company said it was committed to upgrading its facilities and supporting its local economy, and will announce more resort upgrades in the future.

Australia's first climate positive hiking company
Australian international hiking specialist, RAW Travel, has been certified as a registered B Corporation after independent assessment of social and environmental performance across five impact areas: governance, employees, community, environment and customers.
RAW Travel Founder Dave Reynolds said "part of the value of B Corp is that it is a difficult certification to achieve, so people can have confidence in that standard, in a time when there has been a lot of 'greenwashing'.
