JIMBOOMBA recorded the second highest level of interstate migration in Queensland over two years up to 2018, according to Real Estate Institute of Queensland data released this month.
The figures show a net increase of 2031 people moved to Jimboomba over the 2017-2018 period, only behind Pimpama which recorded an increase of 3220. Surprisingly, no other Logan suburb was in the top 20 list.
The Ipswich city of Springfield Lakes, which borders Greenbank, was among the top five growth suburbs with a net increase of 1213 people.
Jimboomba is a great location, offering a unique lifestyle

REIQ spokesperson Nicole Madigan said Jimboomba's proximity to Brisbane and the Gold Coast meant residents could enjoy a country lifestyle without sacrificing city employment.
"Our most recently acquired data shows that Jimboomba was the second most popular suburb for relocation, with a recorded net migration number of 2031," she said.
"Taking into account new arrivals as well as departures, this figure is a true reflection of Jimboomba's population growth.
"With a variety of land size on offer, new community developments, schools and sporting fields, Jimboomba is a great location, offering a unique lifestyle to a range of demographics.
"Jimboomba is relatively affordable too, offering more bang for your buck compared with other greater Brisbane suburbs, with its median house price sitting at $572,500 as of June this year."
Jimboomba borders the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which is expected to be home to 120,000 people by 2045.
Brendan Gore, managing director of Greater Flagstone developer PEET, said the region was attracting interstate residents and Queenslanders due to a focus on community, family and lifestyle.
"Jimboomba is one of south-east Queensland's fastest growing corridors, with Greater Flagstone one of the biggest new residential areas in Australia, attracting more than 20 new families...every month," he said.
The most recent state migration data from March this year showed Queensland attracted the most interstate migration in Australia with 26,737 arrivals (26.6 per cent).
NSW recorded the second highest growth with 23,919 people (23.8 per cent) while 22,599 arrivals (22.5 per cent) were reported in Victoria.
Ms Madigan said Queensland's relaxed, comfortable lifestyle and housing affordability was driving Queensland's strong internal migration rates.
