UPDATE:
THE Logan Village bushfire was extinguished by firefighters shortly before 3pm.
Jimboomba Fire and Emergency captain Jason Hall said the swift response from rural and auxiliary firefighters at Logan Village, Jimboomba, Loganlea and Beenleigh helped bring the blaze under control swiftly.
EARLIER:
FIREFIGHTERS are working to contain a bushfire which spread to affect bush and scrub land on three properties at Logan Village, near Hotz Road.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services issued an alert at 2pm, warning people in the area would be affected by smoke impacting visibility and air quality.
Jimboomba firefighter Gail Steppens said five firefighter units were called to the bushfire, which was almost under control.
The blaze posed no direct threat to homes.
