LOGAN police are appealing for help to reunite four War II medals with their rightful owner.
The medals - along with a photograph and a lock of hair - were found in Fortitude Valley on Wednesday and handed in by a member of the public.
A spokesperson said police hoped to reunite the treasured items with their rightful owners.
"While the engraved name on the medals is known, police have already exhausted records available to them to locate an owner and so are now seeking public assistance to locate relatives who may be missing this treasured family item," the spokesperson said.
If you have information for police or believe these medals may be yours, please contact police and quote police reference QP1901779555.
A collection of the items with the appropriate proof of ownership may be facilitated at Logan Central Police Station.
