A BROWNS Plains couple are busy planning their dream wedding after receiving a phone call with news they are suddenly $200,000 richer.
The Brisbane residents took home the guaranteed first prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1450, drawn on Tuesday.
A Golden Casket official contacted the pair this afternoon to break the news, catching them completely off guard.
"That's the house paid off," the woman said.
She said it was certainly not what she was expecting to hear on a Tuesday.
"This is the best news and the best timing. It couldn't have arrived at a better moment in our life," she said.
"To say this prize will be helpful would be an understatement."
When asked how they planned to enjoy their $200,000 windfall, the pair had plenty of ideas.
"We're getting married soon and now we'll be able to have our dream wedding. We'll be able to finish off a few renovations that we've been planning for quite some time. And I've been wanting a shed in the backyard so now we'll be doing that."
The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at newsXpress Westpoint, Shop 11, Westpoint Shopping Centre, Browns Plains.
newsXpress Westpoint manager Kerstie Winfield said she was over-the-moon for her winner.
"It was such a nice surprise to discover we sold this winning entry," she said.
"It's lovely to see one of our local and regular customers take home this prize. We've had plenty of massive wins over the years and the excitement never fades."
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.72 million for draw 1451 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.01 million for draw 10312.
