JIMBOOMBA Gymnastics Club will send a record number of athletes to the state championships this year, with 11 girls qualifying after strong performances at regional championships in late August.
Ten will head to the Sleeman Sports Complex in Chandler to represent Jimboomba at the junior state championships in September, while one will compete at the senior state championships in April 2020.
Level 4 gymnasts Zoe Taylor, Gabriella Rook, Summy Hernandez, Kirsty Duncan and Summer Graham - who train nine hours a week - all achieved the qualifying score of 34 or higher in competitions earlier this year.
Level 5 gymnasts Jayde Moore, Cailin Ryan, Taryn Seymour and Erin Saxelby also qualified.
"These five girls train 12 hours a week across four days and all have been putting 110 per cent into their training," head coach Callie Wall said.
Charlotte Munro will represent Jimboomba Gymnastics in level 6, while Erika Duncan will compete at the senior championships in level 7.
Ms Wall said Duncan had been dedicated to her training while also completing courses in coaching and judging so she could assist less experienced gymnasts to follow in her footsteps.
"Erika is a huge role model at Jimboomba Gymnastics and she will have a great team of supporters cheering her on," Ms Wall said.
Women's artistic gymnastics coach Rhys Douglas said the athletes had put their all into training for the event.
"All the gymnasts competing at states this year have worked extremely hard for their chance to compete against the best in Queensland (and) we wish them all lots of luck in this event."
