Freshwater impoundments are still producing a lot of fish, with bass dominating catches and a few yellowbelly mixed in.
If you're after a big bass, Wivenhoe is the place to target them.
If you're after numbers to catch and release, North Pine Dam is the place to fish
Bream are again dominating estuary catches.
The better quality biting at night on the run-in tide around the edge of main channels leading towards Jumpinpin Bar and Southport Seaway.
Other top spots include rocky areas at Luggage Point in the Brisbane River and the shallow reefs off the Redcliffe Peninsular.
Mulloway catches continue to be excellent and right now is your best chance of catching that monster fish of a lifetime.
Surf beaches at night have produced the best numbers but there are still plenty being caught from the Logan and Brisbane rivers, inside Jumpinpin Bar, the Southport Seaway and throughout Moreton Bay.
The flathead bite didn't slow down for winter with good catches consistently for the past few months and while the majority are smaller males, there have been a few fish over 80cm landed this week from the Seaway.
This is a sure sign they are thinking about breeding time.
Their numbers will increase over the next month.
Trevally have been a consistent catch in clean, fast-flowing estuary waters.
Top baits have been hardiheads, whitebait and prawns but they are very susceptible to smaller soft plastics and artificial lures worked midwater.
Still no big tailor reported, but most estuaries and the southern Bay are full of small choppers.
The surf beaches are your best chance of catching a bigger tailor.
There's been plenty of squid in the southern Bay.
Top spots to target them are around lighted jetties at night, the smaller size jigs have been the most productive.
It's been a good snapper season in Moreton Bay although a lot of fish caught have been undersize.
Using lighter line and less lead will increase the quality of your catch.
Offshore continues to produce good numbers of snapper as well as mixed bags of reef species including tuskfish, emperor and sweetlip.
There's also been some quality pearl perch caught on the deeper reefs.
Those using live baits have landed cobia, kingfish and small amberjack.
